The Monthly Catch-Up: June 2020

Guess Who’s Back… Back Again…

June 2nd will forever be etched into the history books as the day The Fight Centre re-opened its doors. After an almost two month temporary hiatus, we proudly welcomed members back to our physical location in Slacks Creek.

While we are excited to have our physical space re-open, we are also mindful this must be done in line with government regulations, to ensure the health and safety of our members stays paramount. This has led to some differences from the usual TFC training experience: a limited timetable, smaller classes (max. 20 people), class limits (2 per member/week), socially distant training (i.e. bag work and/or shadowboxing only), book-ins essential (for more information on booking in, click here) and even stricter cleaning procedures.

Even so, there are a few things that haven’t changed: our classes contain the same high-quality content and are taught by the same high-quality coaching staff.

Although there may be a few changes, we seek to ensure a smooth transition from our online training back to our physical gym, focussing on continuing the same high-quality experience you’ve come to know from The Fight Centre.

We’re so excited to be back and hope you are too! We can’t wait to see you down at the gym soon!

From the TFC Team: Thank you to all our members for their continued support throughout this time. We have loved seeing your enthusiasm in getting around the online classes and TFC Revolution. Your motivation and drive has kept us going and we are so excited to continue working with you back at the gym!

All We Do is Win, Win, Win…

Part of the journey to success is recognising our wins along the way. We often neglect to appreciate how far we have come and the small successes that enable us to build into bigger successes down the road. In an effort to help us reflect on our wins and celebrate those of others, we will be featuring ‘wins’ from members of the The Fight Centre Community each month. Whether fitness related or otherwise, we want to celebrate the successes of our members in making positive steps towards their goals – no matter how big or small.

Name: Cleo Evangelou

Win: Win for me would be joining TFC and being so happy. This decision came after much time and marination, as my next training location isn’t a decision I would take lightly and I feel I made the right decision. Developing my technique and style in only the first fortnight of being on the team is a huge win.

Name: Casey Smith-Browning

Win: When I came to TFC, I had set goals and ambitions, I was hungry and super motivated. Even while the gym has been closed, and has now re-opened, I have continued heading in the same direction to achieve my goals. I’ve never lost sight of what they are and why I want them and this has given me a lot of pride in myself.

Name: Tina McKittrick

Win: I’ve been getting up at 4am every day to attend the 5am class before work. I’ve even managed to double up my classes on Thursdays, when I’m not working. And I love it! I’m feeling so motivated since TFC has re-opened.

Thank you to Cleo, Casey and Tina for your submissions! If you would like to submit your win, please contact us!
