    Martial arts classes don’t get any funner than ours. It can be daunting starting out in a martial art, being greeted by smiling instructors and feeling the energy that the comradery amongst students brings, makes the initial uncomfortable feeling fade away.

    Our intention is for your child to feel that coming to TFC is their home away from home. Whether they’re taking part in the kids’ karate classes, kids boxing classes or any of our other available disciplines, we pull out at all of the stops to make sure this is the case.   • 3 Learning the fundamentals

    Grasping the basics is essential to allow for your child to remain calm and protect themselves adequately if they ever feel the need to.     Although there are invaluable benefits to sparring (a simulated fight scenario), we do understand that there are some parents that are concerned about the risk involved regarding semi-contact/full contact combat. We do our best to ensure that contact is kept to a bare minimum, only enough for our students to be aware of how to defend themselves with the techniques taught. Any potential head contact is very closely monitored by supervisors. Children that attend kids karate classes or kids boxing classes, will always be closely monitored during sparring practice.

    If your child is new to exercise, we suggest starting slowly. This is to avoid injury and also potentially overload them to the point where they lose interest. Slow and steady wins the race. We’re sure that once they find the martial art that suits them, they’ll be hooked. We suggest letting students try kids karate classes and kids boxing classes to see what suits them best.

  • 12 When are the kids boxing classes

    Has your child shown a particular interest in boxing? Maybe they’re still in that exploratory phase, looking for the discipline that suits them best. Why not bring them along to try the kids boxing classes to get a real feel for it?

    Our sessions run for 30 minutes for kids ages 6-12 and 45 minutes for the older ones aged 12-16.
