October 30th saw TFC head trainer Ben Johnston fighting for the WBC Muay Thai Australian title in the Light Heavyweight division. Ben managed to stop his more experienced opponent, Harlee Avison, 1 minute 40 seconds into the first round.

Ben had previously lost his Australian Muay Thai title in a controversial decision to Daniel Valusaga earlier in the year, but after Daniel’s retirement and no chance of a rematch, the title was made vacant, leaving Ben and Harlee as the two top contenders.

With talk of an international title next year on the “Destiny Muay Thai” promotion, Ben has jumped straight back into training.
